Australian tenor, Ben Logan, has performed over many years both in Australia and in the United Kingdom and Europe.
He has worked with leading vocal coaches and teachers including, in the UK, with Ludmilla Andrew, while in her position as head vocal coach at ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA and CHANDOS, and with Nicholas Powell from the ROYAL NORTHERN COLLEGE OF MUSIC and Arwel Treharne-Morgan from WELSH NATIONAL OPERA.
His past engagements in the UK have included Turiddu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA for BRENT OPERA in London and for the FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE MUSIQUE ET DES ARTS DE LATOUR DE FRANCE, Cavaradossi and Spoletta in TOSCA and Joseph and Gastone in LA TRAVIATA all for CENTRAL FESTIVAL OPERA and Dr. Caius in FALSTAFF for FORWARD OPERA.
He was engaged for Don José in CARMEN by SAVOY OPERA in London and also appeared as Don Alvaro in LA FORZA DEL DESTINO again for BRENT OPERA.
For OPERA AUSTRALIA, Ben Logan appeared as Pinkerton in the 2009 OZ OPERA touring season of MADAM BUTTERFLY.
Other roles include Lensky in EUGENE ONEGIN for OPERA FACTORY.
His concert engagements include FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE MUSIQUE ET DES ARTS DE LATOUR DE FRANCE’s performances of Elgar’s THE KINGDOM, the CITY OF STONNINGTON’s OPERA IN THE PARK and extensive tours of gala opera concerts in China during 2010.
