Konstantin Andreyev was born in Odessa in The Ukraine.
He was the winner of the FRANCISCO VINAS INTERNATIONAL SINGING COMPETITION in Barcelona in 1997, of the FUNDACION GUERRERO COMPETITION in Madrid in 2000 and of the MAESTRO ALONSO COMPETITION in 2001, also in Madrid. He was also a prize winner of the OPERALIA COMPETITION in 2000.
His subsequent international opera engagements have included the role of Pinkerton in MADAM BUTTERFLY for the ODESSA OPERA, the Earl Of Leicester in MARIA STUARDA at the NOVAYA OPERA in Moscow, Nicias in THAIS at the TEATRO LA FENICE, the Prince in RUSALKA at the TEATRO DELL’OPERA DI ROMA and also for OPERA DE MONTREAL during 2011 and conducted by John Keenan, Grigori in BORIS GODUNOV at OPERA DE NICE also in 2011 and conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Calaf in TURANDOT at both the TEATER HEDELAND in Denmark and the TEATRO LAURO ROSSI DI MACERATA in Italy, Rodolfo in LUISA MILLER for the OPERNHAUS LEIPZIG and also for OPERA DE MONTPELLIER also at the STAATSOPER FRANKFURT and for ATELIER MUSICALE in Lausanne, Don José in CARMEN at the TEATRO PICCINNI DI BARI, the title role in WERTHER at the TEATRO REGIO DI TORINO and both Rodolfo in LA BOHEME and Radames in AIDA in Novosibirsk. He also appeared in FRANCESCA DA RIMINI at the TCHAIKOVSKY CONCERT HALL in Moscow, in Gounod’s MIREILLE for OPERA DE NICE and DON CARLOS in Klagenfurt, Germany.
In Australia he first appear in the title role of Gounod’s FAUST in OPERA AUSTRALIA’s 2002 Melbourne season and subsequently appeared as Don José in OPERA QUEENSLAND’s 2012 season of CARMEN directed by Francesca Zambello and conducted by Emmanual Joel-Hornak.
On the concert platform, Konstantin Andreyev has been engaged as the tenor soloist for performances of Mahler’s DAS LIED VON DER ERDE at the AUDITORIUM CONCILIAZONE in Rome, of Rachmaninov’s THE BELLS and Chapochnikov’s LE JARDIN EMPOISONNÉ by ORCHESTRE PHILHARMONIQUE DE RADIO FRANCE, and of Stravinsky’s LES NOCES broadcast on Spanish radio and television. He has performed in concerts at the AUDITORIUM NACIONAL DE MUSICA in Madrid, conducted by Rafael Frübeck de Burgos with the NATIONAL ORCHESTRA OF SPAIN and given song recitals in London accompanied by Roger Vignoles.
At the invitation of Placido Domingo, he appeared in the PRESIDENTIAL GALA CONCERT in Washington DC, in 2002.
Konstantin Andreyev’s most recent performances during the 2013/2014 European season include Turiddu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA, Calaf in TURANDOT, Radames in AIDA and the title role in Wagner’s SIEGFREID and the same role in GOTTERDAMMERUNG, conducted by Erich Wachter and Cavaradossi in TOSCA, all at the SOFIA OPERA in Bulgaria, and the role of Hermann in THE QUEEN OF SPADES at the STAATSOPER HALLE and conducted by Robbert van Steijn.
During 2015 he appeared as Cavaradossi in TOSCA, Don José in CARMEN and Turridu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA all for the OPERA & BALLET THEATRE PERM, in Russia, as Radames in AIDA for OPERA BUCHAREST, as Pinkerton in MADAM BUTTERFLY in Odessa and as Jason in Cherubini’s MEDÉE at the FESTIVAL OF THE AEGEAN.
His 2016/2017 season included Don José in Tartu, Estonia and Turiddu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA in Odessa.
Future plans for 2017 include Ismaele in NABUCCO, also in Odessa.
