Daniel Kirch’s most recent performances during 2023 have included the role of Siegfried in GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG for STAATSOPER STUTTGART, performances he will continue in Stuttgart during 2024, Der Fremde in DAS WUNDER DER HELIANE at the DEUTSCHE OPER BERLIN and in 2022 LOHENGRIN at TEATRO COMUNALE DI BOLOGNA and Loge in DAS RHEINGOLD at the BAYREUTHER FESTSPIELE.

Also in 2022 he was regularly engaged at THEATER CHEMNITZ for performances of Siegmund in DIE WALKÜRE also Siegfried in both SIEGFRIED and GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG and for Tristan in TRISTAN

Other recent engagements include the title role of PARSIFAL at TEATRO MASSIMO DE PALERMO, SIEGMUND for OPER LEIPZIG and also in performances for the NEW NATIONAL THEATRE TOKYO, Der Kaiser in OPER KÖLN’s DIE FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN and again in Stuttgart, TRISTAN at the BAYERISCHE STAATSOPER in Munich and also at Leipzig and at OPERA DE LYON, the title role of TANNHÄUSER for DE NEDERLANDSE OPER in Amsterdam, Florestan in FIDELIO at Stuttgart, Erik in DER FLIEGENDER HOLLÄNDER for Barcelona’s GRAN TEATRE DEL LICEU and Paul in DIE TOTE STADT for OPERA DE NANTES.

Kirch has worked regularly with such leading conductors as Marek Janowski, Michael Gielen, Valery Gergiev, René Jacobs, Christian Thielemann, Claudio Abbado and with stage directors including Harry Kupfer, Michael Thalheimer, Robert Carsen, Andreas Homoki, Peter Konwitschny, Günter Krämer, Christof Loy and David Poutney.

Highlights of his work on the concert platform include singing Waldemar in Schönberg’s GURRE-LIEDER with conductor, Lothar Zabrosek in Berlin and performances with the ISRAEL PHILHARMONIC under Zubin Mehta in Tel Aviv, ST. MATTHEW PASSION at the CONCERTGEBOUW in Amsterdam with Markus Stenz, Schumann’s FAUST-SZENEN with the WARSAW PHILHARMONIC and Antoni Wit, Mahler’s SYMPHONY NO. 8 with Eliahu Inbal and DAS LIED VON DER ERDE with ENSEMBLE INTERCONTEMPORAIN in Paris and under the same conductor with the TOKYO METROPOLITAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.
