Buenos Aires – Argentina

Ezequiel Silberstein was born in Buenos Aires and since 2024, has served as Principal Guest Conductor of the National Orchestra of Argentine Music “Juan de Dios Filiberto”.
He is a graduate of the National Arts University of Argentina, where he studied under Mario Benzecry, of the Mozarteum Argentino and Tel Aviv’s Buchmann-Mehta School Of Music.
From 2017 to 2019 he was the assistant music director of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra and from 2018 to 2024 he held the positions of director and music director of the Orchestral Academy of the Teatro Colón.
He has been assistant conductor to Kent Nagano at the Phiharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, to Evelino Pidò and Enrique Diemecke both at the Teatro Colón and has previously served as a preparatory teacher for the Israel Chamber Orchestra and the Eduardo Mata Youth Orchestra of UNAM in Mexico.
Silberstein is an accredited worldwide conductor for John Williams Star Wars concert franchise, first conducting Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uruguay and returning in 2026 for Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi, which he first conducted during the 2024 season at Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón with La Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón.
He is also one of the accredited conductors of the Marvel Studio orchestral concerts, conducting the South American premiere of Infinity Saga In Concert in Buenos Aires in 2025.
He has also conducted National Geographic’s Symphony for Our Planet with National Symphony Orchestra Of Uruguay and has been engaged as the rehearsal conductor for Disney 100 In Concert and as the Music Director for Pixar in Concert at the Teatro Colón.
Other notable recent highlights include his New York debut at Carnegie Hall conducting Argentinian musician and film-maker, Fito Páez’ orchestral concerts, the first Red Bull Symphonic concert in Argentina, conducting pop star, Ricky Martin’s orchestral shows in Argentina and Uruquay and collaborating on the recording of the incidental music for the Netflix series, El Amor Después del Amor, the score being awarded the 2023 Cóndor de Plata prize for Best Original Music.
He is also an established ballet conductor having directed since 2019 Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Corsair, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère and Paquita with the Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón. He makes his debut with the National Ballet Of Uruguay conducting The Corsair in 2026.
His recording work includes collaborations with Fito Páez on the Grammy Award winning album La Conquista del Espacio, orchestrations for the symphonic album Futurología Arlt winning Argentina’s Gardel Award and the recording of Las Ilusiones Argentinas by pianist, Leo Sujatovich, which won the Gardel Award for Best Classical Music Album in 2018.
