Eugenia Dushina began her career as a lyric soprano and now sings the roles of the  Spinto soprano/Jugendlicher dramatischer Sopran repertoire.

Since commencing her career in 2016 she has appeared as Donna Elvira in DON GIOVANNI in Lübeck, Agnes Sorel in THE MAID OF ORLEANS at the ERFURT DOMSTUFEN FESTIVAL, in the title role of THE GOLDEN COCKEREL at the THÉÂTRE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES, as Hanna Glawari in THE MERRY WIDOW at the KOREA DAEGU OPERA FESTIVAL, Giulietta in THE TALES OF HOFFMANN in Erfurt, Nedda in I PAGLIACCI at the THEATER HEIDELBERG, Marietta in DIE TOTE STADT in Ostrava, Violetta  in LA TRAVIATA at the KLOSTERNEUBURG OPERA, at the OSNABRÜCK OPERA, for OPERA TOULON and also at the BERGEN NATIONAL OPERA, her other roles in Bergen including Cio-Cio San in MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Liu in Turandot, Leila in LES PÊCHEURS DE PERLES, also Nedda in I PAGLIACCI, Fevronia  in Rimsky-Korsakov’s THE INVISIBLE CITY OF KITEZH and Gretchen in Schumann’s SZENEN AUS GOETHES FAUST.  She has appeared as Liu in TURANDOT also at the LITHUANIAN NATIONAL OPERA in Vilnius, Donna Elvira and Rosalinde in DIE FLEDERMAUS in Israel, and in the title role of TOSCA at the LEMI MUSIC FESTIVAL in Finland.

In 2022 she was engaged as Maria in MAZEPPA at THEATER BIEL/SOLOTHURN, performances for which she was widely acclaimed, the SOLOTHURNER ZEITUNG saying: Eugenia Dushina is brilliantly cast in this role: Dushina dominates musically and in her acting. …unearthly beauty is great theater and pure goosebumps., and with the BERNER ZEITUNG writing, Dushina puts a stupendous Maria on stage: a clear, brightly shining soprano in the best Russian tradition, … a powerful performance.

The most recent European season included two tours of China, as Violetta in LA TRAVIATA with OPERA BERGEN and as soloist with the WIENER KLANG SINFONIETTA, and a Verdi gala with the MUNICH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

For LA MONNAIE/DE MUNT she has covered the role of Millitrisa in Rimsky-Korsakov’s LE CONTE DU TZAR SALTANE where last season she also appeared as the Mother/Praskovja Osipovna/The Donut Seller/Mrs Podtochina’s Daughter/Voice in the Cathedral in THE NOSE.

Most recently during 2024 she has appeared as Countess Almaviva in the TEL AVIV VOCAL CONNECTIONS’ Vienna season of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO with the JERUSALEM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

Dushina is also an experienced concert singer having appeared as soloist with the MUNICH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, the JERUSALEM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, the HAIFA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, the ISRAEL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, at the VIENNA PHILHARMONIC BALL, and at Munich’s BALL DER STERNE. She appears regularly  with the SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE ORCHESTRA, the IMPERIAL ORCHESTRA, and the STRAUSS ORCHESTRA in Vienna.
